The Mozambique-Canada Maternal Health Project is excited to welcome Barb Crockford to the team. Barb will be filling in for Cristina Tsang, the project Administrator, who is now on maternity leave. Best wishes, Cristina!

Barb is seasoned in administrative support roles, business development needs, bookkeeping and data management. She has been able to tailor her skills to meet the needs of various types of organizations, be it education, government, non-profit or the private sector. In these workplaces and through various committees Barb has had the privilege of connecting with many international people and Indigenous organizations and communities throughout Saskatchewan.

Much of Barb’s career has been spent working with health research projects including the Canada-Mozambique Dental Project and the Canadian Centre for Analysis of Regionalization and Health. In addition, Barb worked for 12 years with a health research and management consulting firm. She has worked with teams focused on improving delivery of human services through partnership and collaboration in Saskatoon and surrounding area. Barb moved forward having seen meaningful results of the work in such areas as poverty reduction and safer and healthier communities.

Now Barb is joining the Mozambique-Canada Maternal Health Project, a project that once again fulfills a real need in people’s lives.

When not “on the job”, Barb dedicates her time to assisting her family and friends with their business needs.

The project sends best wishes to Cristina and a warm welcome to Barb!
